As well as the professional programme many local groups hire the theatre for their amateur productions so look out for shows from the Ruby Slippers Show School and the Weyhill Electronic Organ Society in April, Test Valley Brass and Andover Musical Theatre Society in May and Andover College and the Andover Town Band in June.

During August the theatre traditionally goes dark but that’s also the time when a whole programme of children’s creative holiday workshops are offered, from short 2 hour sessions to the popular Play in a Week which this year is Hairspray.

So whether you fancy a night of professional entertainment, an opportunity to take part in or support Andover’s community groups, or have little ones who would love some creative stimulation in the holidays have a look at what’s on offer at The Lights – just visit www.thelights.org.uk or pick up a brochure from the Box Office.
