Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Andover.

The incident occurred at around 11.25am on Thursday, April 25 as the victim walked along a pathway between John Hanson School and Shaw Close.

The victim, a 22-year-old man, was stopped by a man who demanded him to hand over his wallet.

Another man then appeared from the direction of Gallaghers Copse and took the victim’s wallet before they both ran off in the direction of the railway bridge towards John Hanson School.

The first suspect is described as:

  • White man
  • 23 to 25-years-old
  • Medium build
  • 5ft 9 to 5ft 10 tall
  • Pale complexion
  • Clean shaven
  • Short light brown hair
  • He was wearing a plain white t-shirt and dark blue jeans
  • He spoke with a London accent.

The second suspect is described as:

  • Black man
  • 23 to 25-years-old
  • Broad build
  • Approximately 6ft tall
  • Short black hair
  • He was wearing a red baseball cap, dark jogging bottoms and a t-shirt.

This footpath is well used by dog walkers and people walking to work. Were you in the area at the time and did you witness the incident or anything suspicious? Did you see anyone in the area who matched the description of the suspects?
