TVBC leader Cllr Ian Carr has responded to questions about the TVBC July Cabinet Meeting being cancelled due to “lack of interest” saying it is “lack of business”.
Questioned on why the meeting was cancelled, Cllr Carr said: “It is lack of business which has caused the cancellation not lack of interest.”
“The only item that we had for the agenda, ‘Portway Stadium, Andover’ has been brought forward to a Special Council Meeting on Monday 8th July as the arrangement needed Council permission before going to the Sparsholt College Board on the 10th July.”
“This will enable work to start in order to meet the 1st October deadline from the Football Association. Going to Cabinet would have not met these deadlines; the meeting was therefore cancelled as there was no business coming forward.”
