Two Men Assaulted and Robbed in Andover

Police are appealing for information after two men were assaulted, and one of them robbed, in Andover.

At some time between 1.15am and 1.30am on Saturday, April 20 the two victims, both aged 23, were walking along Micheldever Road, near to the jucntion of Shepherds Row, after a night out in the town centre. They were then approached by a group of three young men who assaulted them and stole a wallet from one of the victims. The black leather wallet contained various cards.

The offenders then ran off in the direction of The Quality Inn, Micheldever Road.

Both victims received minor injuries as a result of being hit by the offenders.

The men police want to speak to are described as:

  • Aged between 16 and 20
  • Of slim to average build
  • Between 5ft 8ins and 6ft 1ins
  • Mainly wearing dark clothing and hooded tops. Although one offender was wearing a white hooded top and a balaclava

Detective Sergeant Tim Ireson, said:

“I am appealing for anyone with any information about this incident to come forward. Were you in the area at the time of the incident? Did you see anyone matching these descriptions hanging around the area or making their way to or from the scene?”

“I would urge anyone with any information, no matter how small, to come forward and speak to us and help us find the three people responsible .”
