Tasked by the Community Focus Team (CFT), Hampshire County Councils Accredited Community Safety Officers (ACSOs) responded to reports of two young children in the Shepherds Spring Lane area yesterday (Thursday 19th) apparently harassing members of the public to use their mobile phones but refusing to give reasons why.

The children were located and spoken to and warned reference their behaviour and speaking to strangers. Both children had Irish accents and did not appear to be local. All details and descriptions were reported back to CFT.

The ACSOs are part of the County Council’s commitment to building strong and safe communities in Hampshire with ACSOs now patrolling the streets to combat low-level anti-social behaviour.
