No shortage of variety this autumn – winter season at The Lights

Kicking off in September, The Lights is bringing another stellar season to Andover. With speakers, comedy, tribute acts, magicians and more, it’s going to be an autumn – winter season to remember.

September starts with the sixties for a night to celebrate the iconic era. Jenny “The Vixen” Ryan brings her variety show Out of the Box, to the stage. The Pantaloons return with their take on The Merry Wives of Windsor and Rave On venture back to showcase the music of the 50’s and 60’s.

October brings Money for Nothing, Andover native Ned Boulting with a brand new warm up show about the Tour de France, BGT Winner Richard Jones and Omid Djalili. Onward to October half term there’s two fab family shows including Pop Princesses (which was a huge success in 2023) followed by a brand-new craft-along adventure Boxville, where kids and their big kids will be invited to bring their own cardboard to a show where they can let their imaginations run wild. Audiences will build their way through the story with this new STEM skilled, hands-on show.

November brings perennial favourites T-Rextasy, Whole Lotta Shakin and The Torn Off Strips as well as new acts debuting in the auditorium; Too Much Too Young and Daniel O’Reilly make their Lights entrance.

Soon enough Christmas will be here. The venue will be decorated with baubles, tinsel and smash hit shows. Neil Sands returns with his nostalgic show. James B Partridge takes theatregoers back to school with The Big Christmas Assembly, A much loved Gary & Robbie tribute return and there’s traditional theatre (including a wry comic twist) with The Ghost of a Smile.

2025 Will be upon us before we know it. Meaning a new year with brand new shows. The first four are all new. With a new Carpenters tribute, Fred Dinenage’s new show all about his life and career in TV, a foot-stomping Mumford & Sons tribute and a Jimi Hendrix tribute that Leon Hendrix (Jimi’s brother) said “When we’re on stage together I can feel Jimi’s spirit there with us.” Also on the way, Peter Andre, The Sound of Amy, Larry Dean and more in 2025.

There is no shortage of variety in the programme with high-quality shows for autumn – winter. Make memories this season.
