Places Leisure launch new disabled membership

Place Leisure have launched a new all-inclusive disabled membership available at all Test Valley Leisure Centres. To help where cost is a barrier to physical activity, this new membership includes all of the features of a premium membership at the reduced rate of £25 per month.

Available on an annual or monthly direct debit basis, disabled members can enjoy full gym, swimming, group exercise, sauna, steam and squash facilities. Eligibility for this new membership must be evidenced with a Personal Independence Payment (PIP) or Disabled Living Allowance (DLA) letter.

Benefits of a Places Leisure Disabled Membership:

  • Free entry for your carer to support your exercise
  • Premium membership access
  • Personalised fitness induction
  • Personalised exercise programme
  • Free post-programme check-up session with a personal trainer
  • Online 14-day advanced bookings.

Portfolio holder for community and leisure, councillor Tony Ward, said: “We want to make sure that cost doesn’t prohibit those with disabilities who want to make the most of our fantastic leisure facilities – particularly the brand new centre in Andover.

“Therefore, I’m very pleased that Places Leisure has chosen to introduce this new membership and hope that it encourages more people to get active and enjoy themselves across Test Valley.”
