I had a special friend years ago,
A friend that no one else could ever know,
A little girl who only talked to me,
She was a child that only I could see.
My friend would always listen to my sorrows,
Encouraging me in plans for my tomorrows,
This child would never criticise or tease,
My ego she was always happy to please.
My friend stood by me come what may,
Was always there whenever I wanted to play,
In fact this girl was quite the perfect friend,
But sadly soon this friendship had to end.
One day when coming home from school,
Talking to Coga, which I did as a rule,
I was heard by a local lad,
He laughed at me and I felt bad.
To my special friend I said goodbye
I never spoke to her again. I wonder,
Did I maker her cry?
