Road reopened following fatal collision on A303 near Andover

Hampshire Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision on the A303 near Andover this morning.

Officers were called at 7.26am today (27 February) following reports of a single vehicle collision on the A303 eastbound, just north of the railway line.

The driver of the car, a 44-year-old man, from Basingstoke, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

The road closures have now been lifted.
