ROMAN WAY: Second arrest

Roman Way Incident Andover July 20th 2021

Police have confirmed a second man has been arrested following the incident in the Roman Way area yesterday.

Police say they were called at 3.17pm to a report that a 14-year-old boy had been seriously assaulted in the Roman Way area of Andover.

The victim has been taken to hospital with cuts to his face and neck. They are not thought to be life-threatening.

A 40-year-old man and a 36-year-old man, both from Andover, have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and are currently in police custody.

Officers are establishing the circumstances of what took place and will remain in the area to carry out enquiries.
