On October 16th Hampshire and Isle of Wight will launch Small Change, Big Difference; a regular giving campaign designed to provide a steady income to help secure the long-term future of the Charity.
Supporters are asked to make a monthly donation of £8, equating to 26p a day, or just over 1p an hour.
Rachel Leaman, HIOWAA Head of Income Generation, said “Your small change will make a big difference to the future of your Air Ambulance. A regular donation of £8 a month, or 1p an hour, will give us an income we can rely on for a stable future.”
It currently costs in excess of £9,000 a day to keep the Air Ambulance flying and saving lives. As HIOWAA looks forward to a second decade of operations, and the Charity continues to evolve pre-hospital care to meet patient demand, daily operating costs will increase. The Charity must therefore continuously look at new and innovative ways to raise the money necessary to secure the long-term future of the Air Ambulance.
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance will be promoting Small Change, Big Difference on social media and in the community with eye-catching posters and videos featuring the faces of supporters matched to faces of the Charity Critical Care Team.
The posters reinforce the Charity strap line; ‘Ordinary People. Extraordinary Care. Supported by You’.
“We’ve had some fun looking for everyday objects costing around 26p that we can use to highlight our campaign. We want our supporters to know that for the cost of a daily Curly Wurly, they could help the long-term future of their Air Ambulance” continued Leaman.

Small Change Big Difference will be launched by Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance on 16th October. More information can be found on the charity website: www.hiowa.org
