Spreading awareness and Family Fun at AbelFest

Saturday 1st September sees The Abel Foundation hold Abelfest, a Family Fun Day at The Rockhouse to raise awareness of Mitochondrial Disease.

Supported by Andover Radio, the event start at 1:00pm with things to do for all the family including a hog roast, barbecue, photo booth, games, face painting, kids games and a pets corner. There is also a balloon race and awards during the afternoon.

Then in the evening from 8:00pm it’s live music from a range of bands.

The Abel Foundation was created by local parents Claire and Tony to aid the sufferers of Mitochondrial Disease and help their families deal with this life threatening disease. There is currently no cure.
