Staff at Vigo Primary School wanted to put a tough year behind them and spread some positive vibes and they did this with a Vigo version of Cinderella for all the children to enjoy.
It has been a tough year for both children and teachers and we wanted them to have some festive fun and a giggle altogether.
Many of the staff were such a great sport and got dressed to impress the year 6 audience who were invited to watch the Pantomime live, whist the other year groups got to watch it virtually.
Mrs Wepener the year 5 teacher wrote the personised Vigo script and nearly 40 members of staff gave up an evening to perform to the children.
The beautiful ugly sisters played by one of their Year 5 teachers Mr Cooper and their site manager Mr Baker was definitely the children’s favourite.
A brilliant show was put on that all enjoyed and really gave a good festive cheer.
Deputy head, Laura Reid said: “This was our first ever Vigo School pantomime and what a fabulous one it was! It was so good to see so many smiles on the faces of both the children and the staff. I would like to say a bit thank you to Mrs Wepener and all the staff for putting on such a great show”.
