Saturday 15 th August saw Riverside Bowl in Andover welcome customers through its doors and onto the lanes for the first time in over 5 months.
Valley Leisure Ltd, independent local charity and operator of Riverside Bowl was forced to close the family ten-pin bowling and indoor glo-golf facility earlier this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and closure of leisure facilities.
After a false start nearly three weeks ago due to the Government decision to ‘squeeze the breaks’ on the reopening of some leisure facilities, the Riverside Bowl team were over the moon to be back in action.
Having been furloughed for 5 months the team returned to work in early August with energy and enthusiasm to prepare for the reopening of Andover’s unique ten-pin bowling and indoor glo-golf facility.
Ben Thambipillai, Centre Manager said “ We are thrilled to reopen and welcome customers back to Riverside Bowl after such an extended closure. We have put a great deal of thought into ensuring that we safeguard staff and customers as best possible whilst offering the same great family fun service.”
