The Andover Artisan Market returns after Lockdown

The Andover Artisan Market returned to the High Street today (20/09/2020) after being cancelled due to lockdown earlier this year. The markets are part of a programme of events which are planned by Test Valley Borough Council to encourage people to visit Andover high Street and support the town.

The market took place in Andover high street, from 10am until 2pm and is due to be held on the third Sunday of each month until the end of this year.

LIve music was performed in the time ring during this event from Maddison Douch and Marie Ponting.

We spoke to Heather Whittam, who organises these markets who told us, “It was great to be able to stage the artisan market again today and was lovely to see such a great footfall at the event. Changing the layout meant it was nice and safe for everyone and was lovely to hear that the local businesses also reported a much better trading day.”

Here are some of the photo’s that out photographer Kevin Ridgeon took at todays event.
