Anton Rotary great duck day is shaping up to be a brilliant day on August bank holiday, Monday, 30th August at the Town Mills riverside park starting at 11.00 am.
Every race now has its own sponsor thanks to the generosity of the following businesses. So Anton Rotary would like to thank BRC Accountants, Ranson & Houghton Solicitors, Chris’s Barbers, Ben’s Dry Cleaners & Crisp & Clean, Andover Patio Centre and New Street Dental Care for their wonderful support.
The club is delighted to have secured the services of the Quest Band from Farnborough who will be playing and singing hits from the sixties and seventies throughout the afternoon.
Men’s Sheds, a wonderful organisation made up of mainly retired, skilled men, who make things out of wood will be bringing a number of fun games for all the family straight from their three day stint at Carfest and the club is delighted to have them participating in this first duck racing day since the beginning of COVID.
It should be a great day out for families, with entertainment for the young supporting the duck racing. Buy a boat, decorate it and enter it into a race that afternoon. Prizes for first three boats across the finishing line by the bridge in Bridge Street.
The Town Mills is providing a BBQ as well as running its normal pub fare within.
Fingers crossed we get a sunny day so we can all have a fun day while raising funds for those in our our community not so fortunate.
