Officers from Test Valley’s Priority Crime Team have secured a partial closure order on a property in Andover as part of ongoing efforts to tackle anti-social behaviour and drug-related activity.

On Wednesday 9 April, officers presented evidence of criminal behaviour at an address on Long Barn to Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court. The court granted the partial closure order, which will remain in effect for three months.
Under the order, only individuals listed on the court order are permitted to enter or remain at the property. Anyone else found at the address during this period will be committing a criminal offence and may be arrested.
The order was obtained through partnership working between local officers and Aster Housing.
Acting Police Sergeant Dev Smith, of the Priority Crime Team, said:
“We will not tolerate anti-social behaviour and drug-related activity. These offences come with associated harm and we will not accept that in our communities.
“This address has caused multiple issues for the local community and I’m pleased that through the dedicated work of local officers we have been able to secure this order.
“We will continue to target individuals, and their associated addresses, who are insistent on causing harm and misery through their involvement with drugs and other criminality.
Acting Police Sergeant Smith continued:
“Thank you to all who provided information to us about issues linked to drugs supply and anti-social behaviour. Your information helps us to build a picture of what is going on and establish the evidence we need to secure these types of orders.
“Please keep reporting information to us about ASB and drugs supply by either calling 101, or visiting our website. We will listen and we will take action.”
