Andover Trees United Unveils Fresh New Logo for a Growing Mission

Andover Trees United has unveiled a brand-new logo, reflecting the growth and evolution of the much-loved local charity since its formation over a decade ago.

While tree planting remains central to its mission, Andover Trees United now plays a broader role in community engagement, sustainability, biodiversity, and education – and the updated visual identity aims to reflect that.

A Look Back at the Roots

Founded in 2011, Andover Trees United began as a grassroots project with children and young people from across Andover and surrounding villages helping to choose the charity’s name and design its first logo.

The original design – created by 10-year-old Omar Darby and chosen by then Mayor of Test Valley, Cllr Chris Lynn — captured the idea of children and trees growing together. It’s been a treasured part of the charity’s journey ever since.

Branching Out into the Future

With Harmony Woods now well-established and thousands of trees planted, the charity’s work has expanded into long-term conservation, education programmes, and climate advocacy. The decision to refresh the logo follows a period of strategic reflection, as the organisation seeks to align its brand with its expanding impact.

Thanks to support from the National Lottery, the charity welcomed Hannah Cantellow as its first Marketing, PR and Communications Officer. One of Hannah’s early projects was to revisit the charity’s mission and develop a modern visual identity that remains rooted in the values that inspired it.

A New Look, A Familiar Mission

The new logo, launched on 1 May 2025, comes at a symbolic time of year – the month of growth. It marks the beginning of a renewed focus on raising awareness of the nature and climate crises, and the practical steps communities can take to protect the planet.

A spokesperson for Andover Trees United said:

“Our new logo honours where we’ve come from while looking ahead to where we’re going. It’s a symbol of unity, growth, and our lasting commitment to nature and the people who care for it. While the logo has changed, our mission remains the same: to connect people with nature and create a greener, healthier future for all.”

Residents are invited to explore the new look, join upcoming events, and continue supporting Andover Trees United as they begin this exciting next chapter.
