Marmite Man

Like chalk and cheese
my words are either cheesy or clever
I split the room
the divide I sever.
I either ascend or I sky dive
nose dive into a drink
make you think
or put you off.
Cough cough wheeze
rush off and leave
or sit with bated breath
Or wish that you had left
but couldn’t be arsed.

I am loyal
good foil
For people
I am good not evil
sickly but not always sweet
salty but not always a treat
dark never light.
You’ll find me philosophising
often hiding is the best trick
Cause you’ll find me unobservant
to my surroundings
confounding to the outside world.
I maybe marmite man
but I don’t like my own taste
the people who like me are unfazed
They like me
all the sad me
But I’ll never be tamed…
