A fantastic £2,178 has been raised by the Foresters Arms Golf Society (F.A.G.S) in support of the Countess of Brecknock Hospice, following their recent charity golf day held at Upavon Golf Club.

The event, organised by Mark Arnold, proved to be a huge success, combining a day of golf with an evening of celebration featuring live music from talented local performer Jake Ward, along with a raffle and auction that helped boost the fundraising total.
The Foresters Arms Golf Society — affectionately known as F.A.G.S. — have once again shown their generosity and commitment to the community. Organiser Mark Arnold received heartfelt thanks for his efforts in coordinating the event, while appreciation was also shared for everyone who donated prizes, bought raffle tickets, and took part in the auctions.
The day was filled with laughter, entertainment, and community spirit, with Jake Ward’s performance being a particular highlight — even inspiring a light-hearted suggestion that he audition to become the next Big Brother voiceover artist.

Special thanks were extended to Wendy Taylor-Ware for providing a live feed and assisting with the auction, as well as to Julie Duke, Julia Doris Simmonds, Yasmin Schesselman, Katy Arnold, Jasmine Taylor, Samantha Gardiner, and Fiona Wade — affectionately described as “angels” — for their invaluable support on the day.
The Countess of Brecknock Hospice expressed immense gratitude for the donation, acknowledging the hard work and generosity that made it possible.
“Your kindness and continued support mean so much,” said a hospice spokesperson. “A huge thank you to everyone involved for making this possible, and for the ongoing support from the Foresters Arms. Your generosity makes a real difference, and we are so grateful!”
