A new indoor self-service dog wash station has opened in Grateley, Hampshire, offering dog owners across Hampshire and Wiltshire a cleaner, easier and far less stressful alternative to washing their pets at home.
Fetch The Soap, founded by serving British Army photographer Rebecca Brown, has introduced the facility to tackle what she describes as one of the biggest challenges faced by dog owners: bath time. Brown said many owners struggle with mess, stress and even physical strain when attempting to wash their pets in a typical household bathroom.
She explained that her own experience with her dog, Denver, helped inspire the idea. “I dread bath time when my boy Denver needs a wash. Serving in the Army, I’m still pretty fit and healthy, and even I suffer with lower back pain during the ordeal,” she said. After speaking with other owners, she found she was far from alone. “The most common issue was the pain of bending over the bathtub—and of course the chaos that comes with wet dogs escaping and hair everywhere.”
The new wash station at Grateley Business Park provides dog owners with a private, fully equipped space where they can shampoo, condition, rinse and blow-dry their dogs. Customers can also book appointments online, benefit from free onsite parking and even take photos of their freshly groomed pets.
Fetch The Soap was founded in November 2025 and aims to offer busy dog owners a fast, comfortable and mess-free way to keep their pets clean. Alongside the wash station, Brown has also opened FETCH & POSE, a dedicated pet photography studio based next door. The studio offers professional visual content for pet-related businesses as well as timeless portrait sessions for dog owners.
