Time is running out to secure your place in one of the area’s most loved community races. The Hurstbourne 5 returns on Saturday 2nd May, and with fewer than 50 spaces remaining, today marks the final opportunity to enter and claim your free race t-shirt.

This isn’t just a race, it’s a chance to make a real difference. Every entry helps support vital local organisations, including Andover Young Carers, Enham Trust, Andover Food Bank, Countess of Brecknock Hospice, and Andover Kids on Track. By taking part, runners are directly contributing to services that support some of the most vulnerable people in the Andover community.
The main event is a challenging 5-mile multi-terrain race, set across the stunning hills and beautiful bluebell-filled woodlands surrounding Hurstbourne Tarrant. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or simply want to enjoy a scenic run with purpose, this course delivers both beauty and challenge.
For younger runners and families, there’s also a 2km Kids Fun Run, making it a true community day out.
Beyond the races, the atmosphere promises to be just as rewarding. Expect a warm village welcome with teas, coffees, homemade cakes, and bacon butties available at the field outside Hurstbourne Tarrant Community Hall. The event is powered by around 80 local volunteers, all giving their time to help raise funds for these important causes.
The race starts at 11am, with participants encouraged to arrive by 10am.
Local businesses also have the opportunity to get involved through sponsorship, with branding options available across race t-shirts, medals, training tops, and more, offering both visibility and a meaningful way to give back.
Whether you’re running, cheering, volunteering, or simply coming along for the atmosphere, the Hurstbourne 5 is a celebration of community spirit and charitable impact.
Don’t miss out, today is your last chance to enter and receive your free race t-shirt.
