Successful Summer Fair Brings Community Together at The Arbory

Residents, families, staff and members of the local community came together on Saturday, 20 June, for a successful Summer Fair at The Arbory, raising valuable funds to support summer outings for residents.

The event attracted a fantastic turnout and featured a wide range of stalls and activities, including a tombola, raffle, bric-a-brac, toy stall, clothing stall, cake stall, barbecue and ice cream. Visitors also enjoyed browsing products from local traders, including Tropic Skincare, handmade soaps, sweets and jewellery.

Entertainment throughout the day was provided by the HUGS Ukulele Group and local singer Dave Dawson, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere for everyone in attendance. The fair was also honoured by a visit from the Test Valley Borough Council Mayor, who spent time meeting residents, families and visitors.

All profits raised from the event will be used to fund summer outings for residents, helping to create meaningful experiences and enjoyable days out during the warmer months.

Lisa Guy, Home Manager at The Arbory, said:

“Thank you to all our amazing families for your kind donations. It was a lovely day and great to see so many smiling faces. With the money raised, we will start planning our summer outings!”

Families and visitors praised the event for its warm and friendly atmosphere. One family member commented:
