Medication Administration in Domiciliary Care
Care professionals who support people with medicines in their own homes are invited to attend a Medication Administration in Domiciliary Care course at Training in Partnership in Andover on Monday 9 November.
Running from 9.30am until 4.30pm, the six-hour face-to-face course provides practical training for those working in domiciliary care, supported living and other community-based care settings.
The course covers safe medication administration, person-centred medicines support, MAR and eMAR records, PRN and time-sensitive medicines, consent and mental capacity. Participants will also learn about dealing with medication errors and omissions, as well as the correct procedures for reporting and escalating concerns.
Alongside the theory, learners will take part in practical activities, medication record exercises and realistic domiciliary care scenarios designed to build confidence and support safe decision-making in the workplace.
The course is suitable for domiciliary care workers, home care staff, support workers, personal assistants, supported living staff, senior carers and team leaders.
Successful learners will receive a Training in Partnership Certificate of Achievement.
