Live Music Fundraiser at The Angel Inn to Support Youth Options

A day of live music will take over The Angel Inn in Andover this Saturday, raising money to support children and young people across Hampshire.

The Live Music Fundraiser takes place on Saturday 26 September at The Angel Inn in Andover, with a packed line-up of local performers providing music from the afternoon and into the evening.

The event is being held in aid of Youth Options, a Hampshire charity which works with children and young people to help them overcome challenges, develop new skills and create better opportunities for their futures.

Established in 1937, Youth Options provides a range of prevention, targeted support and progression services. Its work includes community youth sessions, one-to-one mentoring, family support, employability projects and opportunities designed to improve young people’s confidence, wellbeing and engagement with education, training and employment.

The charity also has a strong presence in Andover. It operates childcare services locally, including at The Scott Centre and Pilgrims’ Cross Primary School, with its after-school clubs supporting more than 200 children each week.

Saturday’s fundraiser will put local talent centre stage, with Ellie George kicking off the music at 1pm.

The full running order is:

  • 1:00pm – 1:45pm: Ellie George
  • 1:55pm – 2:40pm: Elby
  • 2:50pm – 3:40pm: Lily Uren
  • 3:50pm – 4:40pm: Georgie Amelia
  • 4:50pm – 5:40pm: Chris Bernstein
  • 5:50pm – 6:40pm: Chanelle Steneburg
  • 6:50pm – 7:40pm: Joe Burke
  • 8:30pm: Cove

As well as the live performances, a raffle will take place featuring three meat hampers, with organisers hoping to raise as much money as possible for Youth Options.

The event is open to everyone and aims to bring the community together for an afternoon and evening of live music while supporting a charity whose work directly benefits young people locally.

Youth Options says its mission is to engage, develop and empower young people to achieve a better future, particularly supporting those who need help the most. Its services across Hampshire include work with young people experiencing social or economic challenges, difficulties with education and other circumstances which can affect their opportunities.

The charity’s latest published material also shows the scale of its work, with thousands of children and young people supported through its services and community programmes.

The Youth Options Live Music Fundraiser takes place at The Angel Inn, Andover, on Saturday 26 September, with the first act taking to the stage at 1pm.

Those heading along are being encouraged to enjoy the music, support the performers and help raise as much money as possible for Youth Options.
