Step back into 1987 on LA’s legendary Sunset Strip, where dreams are big, hair is even bigger, and the music is loud enough to shake the rafters. Rock of Ages is the ultimate feel-good jukebox musical – bursting with iconic 80s rock anthems, outrageous comedy, electric choreography and a whole lot of heart.
Guiding the mayhem is the show’s hilarious narrator and part-time Sound God, Lonny, brought to life by Ryan Boath, alongside Paul Marsh as the Dennis, owner of the legendary Bourbon Room. The story follows small-town girl Sherrie, played by Laura Budd, who wants to make it big in LA, and wannabe Rock Star Drew, portrayed by Glyn Juliff, as they chase their Hollywood dreams in a world of leather, lycra, love and seriously soft rock.
The cast also features Lou Ellison as the powerhouse Justice, owner of the local Strip Club, Chrissy Hotton as spirited activist Regina, Seb Blake as the flamboyant Franz, and Martin Lambert as his formidable father Hertz. Together, this talented company promises a night of full-throttle fun, killer vocals and rock ‘n’ roll chaos.
With roof-raising hits from White Snake, Journey, Poison, Extreme, Pat Benetar, Guns N’ Roses and more, this high-energy production will have audiences laughing, cheering and reaching for their air guitars.
