Andover College has celebrated the dedication, resilience and achievement of its students at this year’s Achievers’ Awards, held at The Lights Theatre on Tuesday 24 June.

The annual event honoured learners across a wide range of courses, reflecting the college’s personalised approach to education and commitment to supporting every individual. Families, staff, and special guests gathered to recognise standout performances, personal growth and academic excellence.
Vice Principal Ben Stokes praised the evening as “a wonderful celebration of our students’ talent, hard work and ambition”, and used the occasion to launch the new High Achievers Project – an initiative working with local schools to inspire future students in areas including criminology, science and digital.
Guest of honour Justin Fairweather, an Andover College alumnus, shared how his time at the college helped shape his future. He credited the staff’s support and guidance with helping him choose the right A-level path and build confidence during a challenging period in his life.
Among the winners was Alexander Lindley, who arrived in the UK from Indonesia just a year ago and is now a joint recipient of the Core Studies Award alongside his brother, Anthony. Alexander said:
“I started my journey with no qualifications. It’s hard, but don’t give up – no matter what.”
The Principal’s Award was presented to Ami Musa, who achieved top marks in Health and Social Care, secured a university place, and gave back through volunteering and fundraising. The Personal Achievement Award went to Sasha Broome for her exceptional progress.
