Andover Campus are celebrating their successful entries to the Generation Barber Competition, held in Bournemouth by Mike Taylor, world-renowned multiple award-winning barber and educator.
The competition was open to Barbering students from across the country and Andover Campus students entered the Modern Barbering Category for NVQ level 2 barbering students with the help and support of Andover Barbering lecturer, Emma Andrews. After submitting pictures of their work, the class were excited to learn that students Archie Blackwood and Isaac Rodney were shortlisted into the top five.
The competition was judged by both public vote and by an experienced judging panel. Although there could only be one winner and Andover campus is delighted to share that current Barber student, Archie Blackwood placed first with Isaac Rodney, also an Andover student taking second place in the Modern Barber Category.
Barbering Lecturer, Emma Andrews said: “I couldn’t be prouder of Archie and Isaac. They are producing great work at a great standard and I hope they have taken a lot from this competition. They both should be incredibly proud of themselves as we are of them, they both have a bright future ahead”
