Andover Cricket Club Launches Fundraiser for Major Facilities Upgrade

Andover Cricket Club has launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise £25,000 for essential upgrades to its training facilities and pavilion.

The club, which has been part of the Andover community since 1865, provides cricket for over 400 children each year and runs four senior teams, including a Southern Premier Cricket League side. But after years of use, key areas of the club need urgent improvements to ensure it remains a safe, welcoming, and modern space for players of all ages and abilities.

What Needs Improving?

If successful, the fundraising campaign will help the club:

  • Install new training nets to improve coaching and practice sessions
  • Enhance disability access within the pavilion
  • Restore a second ground with an astro pitch to expand playing opportunities
  • Repair the changing room roof and upgrade facilities
  • Improve outdoor seating and social spaces for players and visitors

Why Now?

The club has worked hard to keep cricket affordable, relying on volunteers and local businesses to support its work. However, major projects like this require additional funding, and without these improvements, some facilities will continue to deteriorate.

How You Can Help

Andover Cricket Club is calling on the local community to get involved. The crowdfunding campaign runs until March 16, 2025, and there are several ways to support the project:

  • Donate: Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference
  • Spread the word: Share the campaign with friends and family
  • Businesses can get involved: Sponsorship opportunities are available
  • Fundraise: Set up your own event to raise money for the club

The campaign is now live, and donations can be made at Andover Cricket Club Crowdfunder.
