The Good Grub Club in Andover

The Lighhouse are launching a new initiative called the Good Grub Club on 26th October at St. Mary’s Church Andover from 10.30am until 1pm. It’s a whole-family event that aims to benefit families with primary school aged children who may be suffering with holiday hunger. Whole families are welcome – with no limit to the number of children per family.

It’s completely free and theyare really hoping it’ll be a lot of fun.  They will be preparing fresh food (that’ll be cooked by a team of volunteers), followed by some fun art and physical activities (led by the Chapel Arts Studio and Leisure Centre Health Coaches, respectively), followed by time to eat a healthy, freshly cooked hot meal.  There’ll also be a Smoothie bike for kids to make their own smoothies as well.

At the end, families will get free fresh food and a recipe card to take away to cook the meal again in their own time/ space. The fresh food has been kindly being donated local food providers – Abel & Cole and the Co-op.

The sign-up details for this are on the flyer – if families don’t have access to the internet, they can contact Emma directly on 07914 542 844 and she will sign them up , please mention when booking that you heard about this from us here at LoveAndover.
