The Andover Food Partnership welcomed local residents, community groups, and organisations to an inspiring workshop on Wednesday 25 June, all centred around the theme of Growing.

The Andover Food Partnership is a coalition of organisations working together to create a fairer, healthier, and more sustainable food system in Andover. Their shared mission is to make sure everyone in the community has access to healthy, nutritious food.
Guest Speakers and Topics
Attendees heard from an engaging line-up of speakers who each brought their expertise and practical insights:
- Mike Pratt and Ed Burton (TVBC Food Recycling Team) – Discussed how food recycling helps reduce waste and supports environmental goals.
- Libby Hilling (Andover Mind Community Gardens) – Shared experiences of supporting wellbeing through community gardening projects.
- Megan Handscombe (Green Space Officer, TVBC) – Talked about the importance of green spaces and how they can be used for food growing initiatives.
- Michael Parker (Rooting 4 Andover Community Garden) – Highlighted how local growing projects can strengthen community connections and promote healthy eating.
A Positive Vision for Andover’s Food Future

The workshop was part of the Partnership’s ongoing efforts to encourage local collaboration and share ideas that can improve access to good food for everyone in Andover.
