Andover is all set to come alive this Sunday, 20th July, as the much-anticipated Andover Carnival returns with vibrant colours, music, and a whole host of family fun.

Taking place from 4:00pm to 5:45pm, the ever-popular Andover Carnival Procession will once again wind its way through the town, bringing together the community in a joyful celebration.
With thousands expected to line the streets, this year’s carnival promises something for everyone. From colourful floats and costumes to live performances and energetic displays, the procession is a chance for local charities, schools, community groups, and businesses to showcase their spirit.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. Vigo Park, London Street, and Andover Town Centre will all be buzzing with live music, entertainment, and activities throughout the day. It’s a fantastic opportunity for families and residents of all ages to come together and enjoy a truly local summer celebration.
This much-loved event isn’t just about fun – it’s also about giving back. The Andover Carnival raises money for local charities, and this year the proceeds will be shared between Simon Says – Child Bereavement Support, which helps children and young people in Hampshire cope with the death or terminal illness of someone close to them, and the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, which provides vital emergency medical services across the region.
The carnival simply wouldn’t be possible without the generous support of local businesses, whose sponsorship helps bring the event to life. Key sponsors this year include KJM Windows, Monopoly Insurance, The Commercial Centre, The Danebury Practice, Austin Hawk, Ben’s Quality Dry Cleaners, and Simplyhealth, among many others. Their backing ensures the carnival remains a highlight of the Andover calendar.
With an expected audience of around 8,000 people, the carnival offers fantastic exposure for participants and a brilliant atmosphere for spectators. Whether you’re taking part or soaking up the spectacle from the sidelines, this Sunday is not to be missed.
