Deluxe, founded in 1989 and widely regarded as the UK pioneer of executive aviation catering, has been acquired by fast-growing luxury caterer Niche & Bespoke. The deal brings Deluxe’s long-established production kitchen in Andover into a national expansion strategy that will increase capacity, boost investment and strengthen the UK’s high-end aviation supply chain.

A Global Reputation Rooted in Decades of Expertise

Deluxe was created by Sue Griffiths, an experienced VIP aircrew member who spent 20 years flying private clients around the world. Frustrated by the lack of premium in-flight catering available in the UK, she launched a business designed to meet the standards expected by private jet passengers – and the company quickly established an international reputation for excellence.

Her son Steve, a qualified pilot and gourmet chef, joined in the early years and helped shape Deluxe into one of the most respected brands in the industry. Over the decades, Deluxe has supplied menus for high-profile clients across the globe – including members of the Royal Family, the British Government and VIP passengers flying from major airports.

Its philosophy has remained constant: no compromise, impeccable quality, and absolute discretion.

The Andover Connection

For years, Deluxe has operated a specialist production kitchen in Andover, supplying flights departing from airports across the South of England.

This facility now becomes a strategic hub for Niche & Bespoke, allowing the Birmingham-based caterer to expand its presence in the busiest region for private aviation. The acquisition also includes Deluxe’s operations at Stansted Airport, bringing together some of the most experienced in-flight chefs and logistics teams in the UK.

What the Acquisition Means

The deal – supported by funding from HSBC UK – creates one of the largest independent luxury aviation catering groups in the country.

For Andover, this expansion is expected to bring:

  • Increased investment in the existing Deluxe facility
  • Enhanced production capacity to serve more airports
  • Opportunities for local recruitment and specialist roles
  • Greater national visibility for a long-established local business

While Niche & Bespoke is known for rapid growth and modern innovation, Deluxe brings more than three decades of heritage, reputation and client relationships few competitors can match.

A New Era for a Respected Andover Business

The acquisition ensures that Deluxe’s legacy – built over 35 years of craftsmanship, high-end cuisine and impeccable service – will continue to flourish. The Andover site will remain an essential part of the company’s operations as the combined group expands into the next phase of growth.

For the private aviation sector, the deal represents a major shift. For Andover, it puts the town firmly on the map as a key location in the UK’s luxury in-flight catering industry.
