An Andover man has been jailed for a total of eight and a half years after pleading guilty to firearms and drugs supply offences.

Teejay Stainer, 20, of Acre Court, appeared before Winchester Crown Court on Thursday 8 May, where he was sentenced following a police investigation into weapons and drug supply activity.
The court heard that on 12 November 2025, officers executed a warrant at Stainer’s home address and discovered a sawn-off shotgun, a pistol, cartridges and bullets inside a Nike bag located in his bedroom. A hammer was also found inside the bag, while a dagger was recovered from the kitchen.
During searches of the property, officers also uncovered a bag containing Class A drugs alongside mobile phones containing evidence linked to the supply of drugs.
Stainer previously pleaded guilty at Winchester Crown Court on 9 January to possession of prohibited weapons, possession of ammunition without a firearms certificate, and being concerned in the supply of Class A and Class B drugs.
He was sentenced to five years in prison for the weapons offences, with a further two years for drug supply offences to run consecutively.
The court also heard that Stainer was already serving a suspended sentence for robbery, resulting in an additional 18 months being added to his sentence.
Trainee Detective Constable Megan Landeg, the officer in charge of the case, welcomed the outcome.
She said: “I welcome the result from sentencing today, and am pleased that a dangerous criminal is off our streets.
“Tackling drug related harm is a priority for Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary, as the supply of drugs is often linked to other offences such as violence, and the abuse of vulnerable adults and children.
“I hope this sentencing goes to show that we will not tolerate offensive weapons or the supply of drugs in our communities. If you are involved in this type of criminality, we will find you and bring you to justice.”
