Andover New Street Secure Confident 2–0 Victory Over New Milton Town

Andover New Street continued their strong run of form with a disciplined 2–0 win away at New Milton Town, earning three valuable points and a clean sheet in the process.

The visitors struck first in the opening half, capitalising on a well-worked move. Ashfield linked up smartly with Herbert, whose sharp movement and composed finish set the tone for the rest of the afternoon. From that moment on, Street controlled the tempo of the game and never looked back.

At the other end, New Milton Town tried to force their way back into contention but were continually frustrated by Andover’s resolute defence. A dangerous effort was blocked bravely by Higgins, while goalkeeper Bartram commanded his area with authority to preserve the clean sheet. Street’s organisation and discipline ensured the home side’s best chances came to nothing.

The decisive moment in the second half came when Malachi Dotse pounced on a defensive error. Showing quick reactions and composure, he broke free, brought the ball under control, and slotted neatly past the keeper. The goal marked Dotse’s first for the club and gave Andover the breathing space they needed.

It was a solid all-round performance from Jamie Coleman’s side, with the manager—celebrating his birthday—delighted to see his team take the points on the road. The result leaves Andover in good spirits as they look ahead to their next challenge.
