This Christmas, Andover Rock’s have been busy collecting donations to make up Christmas boxes for those who may be spending Christmas alone.
Paul William’s, Andover Rocks team member started the ‘believe in the magic of Christmas’ project a few months ago. Marie Ponting, founder of Andover Rocks told Andover Radio 95.5fm “His [Paul’s] idea was to reach out to those feeling isolated and lonely this Christmas. He feels everyone should have something to open on Christmas day, as there are many who go without year after year.”
December is a month where mental health can really be affected so the hope for the project says Marie is to “put a smile onto a few faces and let people know that they are not alone and somebody somewhere cares.
“with many generous donations from the amazing Andover community the Rocks team have accumulated over 38 boxes filled with all sorts of goodies and delights for both male and female recipients.
“Rocks would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy Christmas and remind all that ‘in a world where you can be anything -be kind”
