Secondary schools across Andover are being encouraged to apply for a brand new national initiative, Taskmaster Club 100, which aims to boost creativity, resilience, and problem-solving skills in young people – with a bit of silliness thrown in.

Launched by the Intellectual Property Office in partnership with Taskmaster Education, the programme is open to schools across the UK and invites students aged 11 to 16 to take part in a series of fun, task-based challenges inspired by the hit TV show Taskmaster, created by Alex Horne.
Up to 100 schools will be selected to receive:
- Free access to the ‘Taskmaster Club Bathtub’ series of creative lesson plans
- Flexible activities that develop teamwork, reasoning, and inventive thinking
- A chance to win a virtual lesson with Alex Horne himself
- Early access to new educational resources from the IPO and Taskmaster Education
- Entry into a national invention competition running until December 2025
Applications are open now and close on 15 August 2025. Selected schools will be notified by 1 September.
Why it matters for Andover schools:
With so many local students already thriving through creativity, performance, and innovation, this is a great opportunity for Andover schools to take part in a nationally recognised skills programme — while also championing one of the town’s best-known cultural exports.
How to apply:
Schools can complete a short application form at taskmastereducation.com.
Alternatively, schools or educators can email CrackingIdeas@ipo.gov.uk for further support or to apply via alternate methods.
Whether used for drop-down days, enrichment activities, or whole-school challenges, Taskmaster Club 100 promises to bring creativity, confidence and a lot of laughs into the classroom.
