A familiar and much-loved face around Andover, Danny Streeter – known to many locally as the “Dr Pepper Guy” – has spent most of his life quietly working towards a dream he first formed at the age of 13: to become a published author.

Living with a disability disorder, Danny has never allowed circumstance to define his limits. Instead, writing became both an outlet and a purpose, evolving over the years into a growing body of creative work that now forms an ambitious and long-term literary project known as The Shadows Will Fall Universe.
Danny lives independently in Andover, supported by Purple Oak Support Care, who visit a few times a week. That independence, he says, has been hard-won and deeply valued. Alongside writing, he has become well known for his commitment to giving back to the community, particularly during the ongoing cost of living crisis. For many years, Danny has offered book signings for as little as 50p per book, with all proceeds going towards charitable causes.
His generosity does not stop there. In a move that reflects both gratitude and community spirit, Danny is also trialling a free book giveaway for the first episode of his saga, encouraging recycling and shared reading before readers commit to purchasing future instalments.

At the heart of his work lies a vast and evolving story world. The Mist of Time marks the beginning of a haunting saga set in a realm where time itself bleeds into shadow. The series explores fate, memory and unseen forces, with each book and series carrying its own storylines and titles rather than following a rigid formula.
Importantly, The Shadows Will Fall is not a single story, but a universe. Danny has planned the timeline to stretch over 30 years or more, making it a “never-ending” creative journey. Box sets from the saga are available to order through his website and via Amazon, with a special local price of £2.99 offered to Andover buyers. If stock runs low, additional copies can be ordered, typically arriving within two to three weeks.
Despite the scale of the project, Danny remains grounded. He continues to write all his paperback books independently, driven purely by creativity and pride in how far he has come. When not writing or supporting local causes, he can often be found at home with his pet rabbit, Snowy Bunny, a small but important companion in his daily life.
Above all, Danny is keen to acknowledge the people who have supported him along the way. He speaks with genuine warmth about the donations, encouragement and belief shown by the local community over the years, describing it as proof that people still want to help one another and make the world a better place.
As Danny Streeter continues to build his literary universe, his journey stands as a reminder that talent, determination and kindness can thrive well beyond the barriers placed by disability. For Andover, he is more than the “Dr Pepper Guy” – he is a local author with a story that is only just beginning.
