After a week of unseasonably warm sunshine, temperatures across the UK – including here in Andover – are set to dip this Bank Holiday weekend, with cooler air and the chance of isolated showers moving in.
Saturday 4 May
Locally, Saturday starts dry and bright, with sunny intervals expected through the morning. But by early evening, cloud cover is likely to build. It’ll be cooler than recent days, with temperatures in Andover peaking around 16°C.
Sunday 5 May
Sunday is forecast to be the chilliest of the long weekend. Temperatures will hover in the low double digits, with a noticeable breeze throughout the day. UV levels stay moderate, and while it’s expected to remain dry for most, a jacket might be needed for those heading outdoors.
Bank Holiday Monday – 6 May
Monday continues the trend with a mix of cloud and sunshine. Showers are possible later in the day, particularly to the south and east of the region. Andover will see highs of around 15°C with moderate winds and slightly increased humidity levels. Still a great day to get outside – just with an extra layer in tow.

If you’re enjoying the weekend closer to home, places like Charlton Lakes, Anton Lakes, and Rooksbury Mill offer lovely walks even with the cooler forecast – just remember your waterproofs, especially on Sunday and Monday when showers are more likely.
