The Abel Foundation has announced that Mandy Baggot, an acclaimed romance author from the local area, will be attending this year’s Charity Ball as an official patron. Mandy, known for her heartwarming novels, will be meeting guests and has generously donated signed copies of her books for the charity auction.

Supporting a Cause Close to Her Heart
A passionate supporter of the Abel Foundation’s work, Mandy is looking forward to the event and contributing to its success.
“I’m honoured to be supporting the Abel Foundation at their annual ball,” Mandy said. “I have known Abel since he was a baby and have seen him go through so many challenges. Events like this are vital for raising funds and raising awareness of mitochondrial disease. I am honoured to be part of an event that brings people together for such a meaningful cause. I can’t wait to meet everyone and celebrate the power of kindness and community.”
Mandy Baggot has a dedicated fan base worldwide, with her best-selling books translated into multiple languages. Most recently, her novel Desperately Seeking Summer was adapted into the Hallmark movie A Greek Recipe for Romance in 2024.
