The Mayor of Test Valley, Councillor Philip Lashbrook, will have the honour of selecting the recipient of this esteemed award. Throughout his mayoral year, he will carefully consider any individuals or group who have left a lasting impression on him.

The Worshipful Mayor, Councillor Philip Lashbrook shared: “It is a huge privilege to be in this role, I hope that through my term I will have a lot more involvement with organisations such as the Pride of Andover Awards. Pride of Andover Awards means so much to the community because it recognises all the good that is done throughout the town, the sponsors that support these awards I think are absolutely incredible also because they help the Pride of Andover Awards thrive.

Please come forward, recognition is so important for those who think of others above themselves, nominating someone is so worthwhile, so please nominate”

Pride Of Andover are grateful for Bulpitt Print’s generous sponsorship and their commitment to recognising outstanding contributions within our community by returning once again as sponsor for this award. During the recent launch of the 2023 Pride of Andover Awards, Andrew Bulpitt from Bulpitt Print shared: “We have sponsored the Awards for many many years, being a local community business it is always good to put back in to the community, it is a great honour that the team have given the opportunity to support us and enable us to sponsor the Mayors Award. The Pride of Andover Awards really shows what a fantastic community we have with some superb people that go over and above their daily jobs for others”.

Regarding nominations, Andrew has a message to the community: “Get nominating, friends, relatives, husbands, wife’s, partners, look at what they do and make sure you describe what they do in great detail, make sure you put some good effort in to those words when you are nominating, make sure you make it a good one as these people could win an award.

It is a humbling experience being at the awards, it is now one of the highlights of my year listening to what people have done, what they have to say and acknowledging their recognition, I really hope it does make them feel proud about what they have achieved.”
