November 2024 marks an exciting milestone for Finkley Down Farm Nursery as they proudly announce an expansion to care for children as young as 3 months old.
This development comes in direct response to listening to parent’s feedback and recognising the needs of the local community who have longed for this Ofsted rated outstanding nursery to cater for babies.
This expansion allows the nursery to offer the same exceptional care and nurturing environment to even more little ones, ensuring that children of all ages can thrive from their very first months. Based within the fantastic surroundings of the award-winning Finkley Down Farm, even the youngest of learners will be able to experience the rich, hands-on learning experiences that the farm has to offer.
Currently Finkley Down Farm Nursery are refurbishing the “farmhouse” located on the site of Finkley Down Farm which will become their preschool location, with a professionally designed sensory room, dining room, art room and general play and sleep areas. The current nursery which is known as the “bungalow” will then be fully refurbished once the preschoolers have moved into the farmhouse, ready to welcome babies and toddlers from November! The “bungalow” has been thoughtfully designed to cater to the unique needs of our youngest learners, ensuring they feel safe, secure, and stimulated when welcomed into the setting.
Director of Finkley Down Farm Nursery, Alison Dennis, expressed her excitement about the expansion of the current nursery. She said, “Since we opened back in 2017, we have continuously had parents enquiring for spaces for their baby, so I am incredibly excited and proud that we are now able to make these requests a reality!”
