Hawk Conservancy Trust Launches New Youth Conservation Partnership

The Hawk Conservancy Trust has announced an exciting new partnership with the Cameron Bespolka Trust, aimed at inspiring and educating the next generation of young conservationists.

The partnership will support a number of new educational opportunities at the Trust, which is based just outside Andover and is a leading charity for the conservation of birds of prey.

The Cameron Bespolka Trust was set up in memory of Cameron Bespolka, a young naturalist with a deep love of wildlife – especially birds. Cameron was a regular visitor to the Hawk Conservancy Trust, whatever the weather, and is remembered fondly by the team for his enthusiasm and passion for nature.

A spokesperson from the Hawk Conservancy Trust said:

“We need young conservationists of the future to help us achieve our mission.

“This partnership is a brilliant way to continue Cameron’s legacy and connect more young people with the natural world.”

As part of the partnership, the Cameron Bespolka Trust will fund:

  • Two youth internships within the Trust’s Conservation, Research and Education department – offering real-world experience in fieldwork, science communication, education, and supporting biodiversity work on site.
  • The 2025 Explore Nature programme – an initiative that brings senior school pupils and community groups to the Trust for a full day of hands-on workshops, career talks, and inspiring wildlife displays.

The goal is to open up opportunities for teenagers and young adults who may not otherwise have the chance to explore careers or personal passions in conservation.

Both charities share a core aim: to inspire young people to love and protect nature. By working together, they hope to create lasting experiences that lead to long-term care for wildlife and the environment.
