Helping Andover Get Healthier: Tricia Mitchell-Moore’s 27-Year Wellness Journey

For more than 27 years, Andover-based wellness coach Tricia Mitchell-Moore has been helping people improve their health, wellbeing and confidence through nutrition, lifestyle changes and ongoing support.

Representing Herbalife Nutrition, a global nutrition company operating in 95 countries, Tricia has built a business centred around helping people achieve their personal health goals, whether that’s weight management, improved energy levels, sports performance or navigating life stages such as menopause.

“I love seeing the transition and the transformation of the women that I work with,” said Tricia. “And it’s not just women, it’s men too. It’s about helping people look after themselves so they’re able to look after everyone else.”

A Family Inspiration

Tricia’s journey with Herbalife began almost three decades ago, inspired by her own family’s health challenges.

“My grandmother was clinically obese and my mum had yo-yo dieted for all of her life,” she explained. “I’d tried all sorts of weird and wonderful diets myself. When I was introduced to Herbalife, I thought maybe this was something that could help my mum.”

The results were immediate and encouraging.

“She got amazing results and it kind of grew organically from there because her friends started asking me, ‘Whatever she’s doing, she looks amazing.'”

As interest grew, Tricia began using the products herself and discovered benefits beyond weight management.

“At that point, I didn’t need to lose weight, but it was very much about my energy. My husband Mark and I had a very busy pub restaurant in Cheshire, so a bit more energy was going to be no bad thing.”

Today, she still starts every morning with a Herbalife smoothie.

Building a Global Community

What began as helping family and friends has grown into a business that has supported thousands of people around the world.

One particularly memorable success story involved a former NHS occupational health nurse and midwife originally from Ghana.

“She always said to me, ‘These products are amazing. When Herbalife is available in Ghana, I’m going to quit my job in the NHS and work in my community back in West Africa.'”

When Herbalife launched in Ghana, she did exactly that.

As a result, Tricia and her husband have travelled to West Africa several times, helping to establish nutrition hubs in communities across Ghana.

“It’s an international community,” said Tricia. “It’s still helping people to be fitter, healthier and looking after themselves.”

Personalised Support

Operating from her Andover nutrition hub, Tricia offers clients a free wellness profile and body scan analysis to help them understand their current health and fitness levels.

The assessment provides insights into body fat percentage, muscle mass, metabolic age and other key health indicators.

“For some people it’s a bit of a wake-up call,” she said. “For others, they know they’re in good shape. But many people know they’re not where they want to be and they don’t know what to do.”

Unlike many nutrition products available on the market, Tricia believes the key difference lies in the support she provides.

“Our follow-up programme is huge. You can buy supplements and vitamins from various places, but nobody calls you and asks, ‘How are you getting on? Is it working? How do you feel?'”

She works closely with each client to create a personalised plan that suits their lifestyle, dietary preferences and budget.

“It’s about designing a plan that suits them and then handholding all the way through.”

Backed by Science

Herbalife itself has grown into a globally recognised brand with a strong scientific foundation.

According to Tricia, the company works with more than 300 doctors, 52 PhDs and Nobel Prize-winning scientist Dr Louis Ignarro, whose research into cardiovascular health helped shape one of Herbalife’s specialist products.

“We have regular meetings and training where the doctors and nutritionists come and train us,” she said.

The brand has also attracted some of the world’s most recognised athletes.

“Our biggest endorsement is Cristiano Ronaldo,” said Tricia. “He’s very particular about what he puts into his body and he did a lot of research before he approached Herbalife.”

The football superstar worked alongside the company to develop a sports hydration product designed to support performance and recovery.

Promoting Active Living

Away from her business, Tricia is passionate about maintaining an active lifestyle herself.

Most recently, she has discovered a new sporting hobby: pickleball.

“It’s really great fun,” she said. “I’ve been playing at the leisure centre here in Andover.”

Her personal commitment to health and fitness helps inspire many of the people she works with, reinforcing the importance of staying active at every stage of life.

A Vision for Andover

Looking ahead, Tricia’s ambition extends beyond individual success stories.

Her goal is to create a healthier, more active community across Andover.

“I’m really hoping to create a community in Andover which are fitter and healthier and just want to have a longer, healthier life and be active,” she said.

For Tricia, that’s what the business has always been about – helping people feel better, move more and live healthier lives through better nutrition and ongoing support.
