Andover is about to get a serious taste of the Caribbean as Jamaican Kitchen officially launches tomorrow in the courtyard of The Rockhouse. Bringing the bold and vibrant flavours of Jamaica to town, partners Omar and Magdalena are set to introduce locals to freshly grilled and home-cooked Caribbean cuisine served straight from their newly converted Jamaican street food van.
With years of experience in some of London’s top Caribbean restaurants, Omar is thrilled to be bringing his culinary expertise to Andover.
“I’m really excited to be doing this in a great town like Andover,” Omar said. “Food is more than just a meal—it’s culture, it’s family, and it’s about bringing people together. We want to share the real taste of Jamaica with everyone, and we’re grateful to Tony for welcoming us into The Rockhouse.”

Magdalena, who will be managing the business alongside Omar, is equally enthusiastic about their new venture.
“We’re passionate about good food, and we want people to experience the warmth and flavour of Caribbean cooking,” she said. “Expect smoky jerk chicken, tender curried goat, rich oxtail stew, and of course, classic rice and peas. We can’t wait to see the community come together and enjoy the food we love.”

The grand opening is set for Friday, April 4th, from 11 AM to 3 AM, promising a full day and night of delicious eats and good vibes.
Jamaican Kitchen operates from their custom-built food van, offering both eat-in and takeaway options. Customers can enjoy their meal in the sunshine at The Rockhouse courtyard or grab their food to go. And for those craving a Caribbean feast at home, delivery services will be launching soon.
