New Monthly Meet-Up for Visually Impaired People Launches in Andover

A new monthly social meet-up for visually impaired people is launching in Andover this May, offering a welcoming space for conversation, connection and support within the local community.

The “Eyes Down – Visually Impaired Meet Up” group will hold its first gathering on Tuesday 19th May from 10am until 12pm at Boswells Cafe.

Following the launch event, the meet-up will continue on the third Tuesday of every month.

Organisers say the group has been created to provide a friendly and relaxed environment where people with visual impairments can meet others, share experiences and build social connections over a coffee.

The initiative also welcomes family members, friends and supporters, helping to create an inclusive atmosphere for everyone attending.

Held in the heart of Andover town centre, the meet-up aims to combat social isolation while encouraging mutual support and conversation among local residents.

The organisers are encouraging anyone who may benefit from the group, or who knows someone who would, to come along and get involved.

Anyone wanting more information about the meet-up can contact the organisers on 07591 448951.

Organisers added: “Come for a coffee. We look forward to meeting you.”
