Andover New Street produced a composed and confident performance to secure a 2–0 away victory over Alresford Town in the North Hants Senior Cup, booking their place in the next round.

New Street started the game brightly, immediately taking advantage of Alresford’s slow start. The visitors controlled the tempo and pressed high, creating several early chances. Their dominance paid off midway through the first half when Dyllan Roocroft struck home his first goal for the club, capping off a fine attacking move and giving Street a deserved lead.
Moments later, New Street doubled their advantage through Jake Rawkins, who unleashed a superb long-range strike that flew beyond the Alresford goalkeeper. It was a moment of real quality that underlined the visitors’ attacking intent and sent them into the break with a comfortable two-goal cushion.

The second half saw a much-improved Alresford side push hard to get back into the game. The home team created several dangerous opportunities, but the New Street defence stood firm, throwing bodies on the line and showing great determination to preserve their clean sheet.
Despite sustained pressure, the score remained unchanged, and Andover New Street saw out the match professionally to seal a well-earned win on the road.
A strong first-half display and resolute second-half defending ensured New Street progress to the next round of the North Hants Senior Cup — a performance full of character, quality, and teamwork.
