On Saturday 10th September The Pride of Andover Committee gathered at The Lights together with Event Category Sponsors for over 5 hours of deliberation for Judging Day.
The Pride of Andover Committee welcomed to Judging Day, Event Sponsor David Mellor Family Jewellers, along with sponsors of new and ongoing Pride of Andover Sponsors, with a great turnout of 22 judges, they all set to work to find the 2022 finalists, after 5 hours, The Pride of Andover finalists have been decided.
A great team of judges set for a day of tough decisions, a first for some, and a day looked forward to by ongoing sponsors that have been on the judging panel previous years. The day was a mixture of excitement and emotion as each of the committee members and sponsors learned about the people within the Andover community that we now know as our unsung heroes, each deserving recognition for their outstanding achievements within the Andover community.
Flooded with nominations, category sponsors and committee members took their time in carefully selecting this year’s finalists for the Pride of Andover Awards, not an easy task when each nomination was deserving of recognition for their commitment and dedication to the Andover Community.
The Pride of Andover Awards honours the town’s exceptional unsung heroes, recognising the inspiring and often selfless actions of Andover’s most generous individuals, the people who make such a big difference to so many lives, without realising the positive impact their actions make.
The 2022 Pride of Andover Awards will take place at The Lights on Tuesday 25th October, hosted by Jordan Wylie with Luis Wyatt as Compere for the evening. Finalists for this year’s Pride of Andover Awards 2022, Sponsored by David Mellor Family Jewellers, will be revealed soon, in the meantime, you can keep up to date with The Pride of Andover Awards, including this year’s sponsors and award categories on the website: www.prideofandoverawards.org.uk
