Origin Training Project’s Spring Fete Invites All to Join

Tomorrow (18th May), Origin Training Project, nestled between Winchester and Andover, opens its gates for a day of celebration and community engagement with its much-anticipated Spring Fete.

Origin, a day opportunity service for adults with additional needs or learning disabilities, is not just a farm; it’s a haven where individuals connect with nature, animals, and each other.

At the heart of Origin’s ethos is the belief in providing a nurturing environment where individuals can thrive. With a charming ensemble of donkeys, sheep, pigs, pygmy goats, and chickens, attendees have the unique opportunity to interact with and care for these animals. But Origin isn’t just about furry and feathered friends; it’s a place where creativity flourishes through woodworking, crafting, and gardening projects.

Despite its modest size, Origin radiates warmth and hospitality. Led by Mike and Amy, along with their dedicated team of staff including Tracey, Shelagh, Sam, and Julie, Origin embodies inclusivity and compassion. With only around five attendees per day, each person receives personalised attention and support, fostering a sense of belonging and empowerment.

The Spring Fete promises a delightful array of activities and entertainment for all ages. From live music courtesy of Jake Ward to traditional stalls featuring welly wanging, tombola, and raffles, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Indulge in homemade cakes, hot dogs, and freshly brewed tea and coffee while perusing plants and produce. Animal feeding sessions offer a hands-on experience, allowing visitors to connect with the farm’s residents on a deeper level.

“We look forward to welcoming you,” says the Origin team, echoing their genuine enthusiasm for sharing their slice of paradise with the community. Whether you’re a regular visitor or discovering Origin for the first time, the Spring Fete promises a day of laughter, connection, and heart-warming moments against the backdrop of rural tranquillity.

So mark your calendars for May 18th, from 1 to 4 PM, and join Origin Training Project for a celebration of community, inclusion, and the beauty of nature.
