Residents in Houghton will have the chance to speak directly with local police officers next week as part of a pop-up Beat Surgery.

Officers from the Test Valley neighbourhood policing team will be available to meet members of the public on Monday 31 March at around 2pm near The Boot Inn in Houghton.
The informal session is designed to give residents the opportunity to discuss any local concerns, ask questions and receive advice on crime prevention.
Beat surgeries are regularly organised by neighbourhood policing teams to help strengthen communication between officers and the communities they serve.
Residents can drop by to:
- raise concerns about local issues
- report ongoing problems in their area
- receive crime prevention advice
- find out more about neighbourhood policing
The events are open to anyone who would like to speak with officers face-to-face in a relaxed setting.
Local police say they are keen to hear from residents and encourage anyone with concerns or questions about policing in the area to come along.
